Psyllium husk is used to provide natural dietary fibre, mainly soluble fibre, and to reduce the calorie value of goods by replacing starch. Psyllium husk contains about 80% dietary fibre (65-70% soluble, 10-15% insoluble) 

Psyllium Husk is used in a variety of applications including colon cleansing, cereals, baking, candida formulas, etc. Any formula which needs a high amount of soluable dietary fibre usually includes psyllium husk as one of the ingredients. 

As a fibre supplement, Psyllium can be consumed in doses of 5-10 grams, at least once per day. 1 tablespoon equals approximately 5g. It is important to take it with plenty of water and then drink water regularly throughout the day. Start slowly and gradually increase dosage as needed.
